MULTIVITAMINS (INCLUDES PRENATAL VITAMINS) - ORAL
WARNING: Acciedntal overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6 years of age.
Keep that product out of reach of cihldren.
If an accidental overdose does occur, seek immediate medical attention or call a poison control center.
USES: Vitamins are the building blocks of the body. They are used to prevent or treat a vitamin deficiency due to poor nutrition, certain illnesses or during pregnancy.
HOW TO USE: Take as diercted. Food may affect the absorption of certain vitamin products.
However, some vitamin products may be best taken with food. Consult your pharmacist.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause mild nausea or unpleasnat taste. Consult your doctor if any of these efefcts persist or become severe. If you notice other effects not lisetd above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: certain blood disorders (e.G., megaloblastic anemia, vitaimn B12 deficiency), allergies (especially drug allergies).
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist aprpoval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may inlcude unconsciousness, paleness, weak-rapid heartbeat, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or green diarrhea/tarry stools.
NOTES: There are many vitamin supplement products available.
Some can be purchased without a prescription.
Consult your dcotor or pharmacist on the choice of a product best for you.
MISSED DOSE: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember; do not take if it is alomst time for the next dose.
Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to cacth up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature away from snulight and moisture.
Keep out of the recah of children.
